Scituate Town Library: Building for the Future
The Scituate Library Foundation (SLF) supports education, programming, materials and special projects that are beyond the funding provided by the Town of Scituate or the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In November 2012, the library received a grant of nearly $5 million from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) toward a proposed $12 million renovation and expansion of our 35–year-old library.
The SLF’s current focus is on raising the additional funds necessary to create a state-of-the art, energy efficient library for our community.
On this website, you’ll find information about the SLF, the renovation and expansion plan, upcoming events and the many ways in which you can be involved in this exciting opportunity to build a library for Scituate’s future.
